The Design Patterns Workshop - Online Edition brings an interactive learning
environment to developers worldwide who cannot make it to our in-person
workshop. Developers also have the added comfort of using their own development
environments to solve our challenges.
Participants will study one pattern each week, for 10 weeks. We will furnish
poorly designed code, which badly needs to be refactored to the pattern under
study. Participants will perform the refactoring and check their solution with
our online tools. Along the way, they will study important software literature,
engage in stimulating dialogues with the workshop instructors and other
participants and answer challenging questions.
The learning environment has been specially designed to be highly interactive.
Participants can take quizzes, test their work online, and help each other solve
challenges. In addition to weekly chats, participants will also be able to
communicate with our instructor and the group over email. The chats are scheduled
at a time that is suitable for all participants.
