This workshop teaches core technical practices of Extreme Programming (XP) and Industrial XP (IXP).

After learning how to use a unit-testing tool within an IDE, participants will learn the art and practice of Test-Driven Development, study and identify Code Smells, implement low-level refactorings to clean up some rather messy code and finally, learn how to refactor to patterns. The workshop also includes demonstrations and challenges in storytest-driven development, evolutionary design and mock objects.

The workshop concludes with a dialogue about how you might go about implementing these practices in your environment.
