The Unified Modeling Language (UML) is a standard way to visually communicate object-oriented designs. This activity focuses on the fundamentals of UML and avoids esoteric details.

Flavor: introduction
30 to 60 minutes

This introduction covers Class Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, Object Diagrams, Collaboration Diagrams and State Diagrams. We'll study examples from books and real-world applications. We'll also look at examples where one diagram type would be a better fit than another.

Requirements: Computer (1), Projector (1), Whiteboard (1 for every 2-4 students)
